Avatar Costumes

Shop for Avatar Halloween costumesSo, you’re fan of the blockbuster James Cameron movie and you want to know where you can get an Avatar Halloween costume?

We understand your enthusiasm, being that the Avatar movie was one of the best sci-fi flicks to come out of Hollywood in oh say, the last ever

So, we’ve put together some cool Avatar costume ideas for your entire family. Whether you’re dressing up your kids, yourself, going out as a couple, or making it a family affair, we have plenty of Avatar costume ideas for you.

Avatar Costumes

Avatar Neytiri costume

This Neytiri bodysuit Avatar costume has the benefit of allowing you to avoid removing blue makeup from your bathing suit areas for weeks after Halloween...

Avatar Costume Makeup Kit – Well, if you’re willing to put blue make up all over your body in order to really look like a true Na’Vi, you’re a braver soul than I. We suggest wearing a bodysuit (see below) or costume that covers most of your body to avoid that sort of torture. However, you still need to get your face done up just right, and this kit should do the trick nicely.

Kids Jake Sully Avatar Costume – So you took your kid to see the Avatar flick? And they sat through the whole thing? I had to see it twice just to take it all in, then a third time in 3D, then once more since my friend wanted to see it… Anyway, if you’re little dude or dudette wants to be an Avatar character this Halloween, this Jake Sully kid’s costume should do the trick.

Adult Jake Sully Avatar Costume – Yes, you too can be blue this Halloween. This adult Jake Sully Avatar costume includes the mask, pants, and a jacket with Na’vi sleeves to simulate their blue skin. So, if you really wanted to top it off, get the makeup kit above to paint your hands and any remaining exposed skin, and BAM! You’re a Na’vi.

Sexy Avatar Neytiri Bodysuit – Weird but true… most of the guys I know who saw the movie admitted that they secretly thought Neytiri was pretty hot. Yes, it’s just a CGI character, but I have to tell you – this Avatar Neytiri bodysuit is pretty hot too. Impress the nerdy dude in your life with this costume… wear it and I’m sure he’ll overlook the fact that the Na’vi never wore high heels in the movie.

Twilight Costume Ideas

So you want to be Edward Cullen or Bella Swan and need some decent Twilight costume ideas?

woman vampire costume

While it's not quite Twilight, this woman's vampire costume does have enough of that Victorian flair to be a decent starting point. Click the image for more info.

First, you’ll need the attitude:

  • Practice being really, really sullen
  • Look depressed
  • Suck in your cheeks a lot

If you’re a typical teen, this shouldn’t be too hard.

Okay, now that you have the attitude, it’s time to get the look. Here’s how:

  1. First, go check out the Twilight character guide at Rotten Tomatoes. They have great close-up photos of every character, which you’ll need to get the hair and make-up just right.
  2. Next, take a single character and figure out what makes their look. Take Edward Cullen (a.k.a., Edward Sullen). You have to get the tousled hair, the gaunt skin color (duh, he’s a vampire), and those freaky colored golden eyes. Remember, the Cullens have golden eyes, and all the bad vamps have red eyes. You’ll need colored contact lenses to get either effect. And don’t forget the fangs!
  3. Finally, you need to top it all off with the right duds. Edward Cullen is easy, and so is Bella Swan. Since the Cullens dress like normal people to fit in, no worries here… but no fun either. The Volturi, on the other hand… now they get to wear some cool clothes. In either case, dressing more in the Victorian style versus modern clothing is going to do a lot more for completing the look. Think gauzy shirts with frilled cuffs and collars, and lots of greys with high-collared jackets and over-shirts. Check out this guy and this girl for a good starter kit.

Some other Twilight costume ideas…

  • The sparkly vampire thing… some body glitter will do for this effect. Careful with it as it makes a mess, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
  • If you have the skin tone and the bod for it, you can just run around half-nude in a pair of ripped up cut-offs and be one of the werewolves. Kind of hard to make it work, and you’d better hope for a warm night… but if you’re going out in a group you could do a group theme and it might go over.

Now, for you really serious Twilight fans… here’s a make-up tutorial that has some pretty decent tips on how to get the look just right:

Wonder Woman Costumes

Wonder Woman costumes

Lynda Carter, look out! Click the image above to become Wonder Woman...

Wonder Woman costumes are a popular choice with adults, since we’re the only ones who remember Wonder Woman in the first place. If your kid is asking to be Wonder Woman for Halloween, either she’s channeling Lynda Carter, or he has a future on HGTV.

Ahem. This particular Wonder Woman costume is a modern update of the old 70’s costume that Ms. Carter wore so well back in the day. Licensed and based off of the original Amazon warrior’s costume from the animated series, you’ll make an entrance in this version for sure.

Includes the following:

  • Star-motif dress,
  • cape with collar,
  • chest logo,
  • headpiece,
  • gauntlets & boot tops.

Sorry, magic rope isn’t included. So, you’ll have to find another way to catch that cute guy from marketing.

Michael Myers Halloween Mask

Halloween mask costume

Yeah, it's just plain creepsville. If it had eyes, they'd be following you. Click the image to find out where you can get it.

Okay, this Michael Myers Halloween mask costume thing is just creepy.

One look and I got the heebie jeebies, and I don’t frighten easily.

Except with clowns. And mannequins. And this thing looks like a mannequin. Or a mime. Which is kind of like a clown. Which is scary.

Did I mention this is the officially licensed mask from Halloween the movie?

Maybe that’s why it’s so creepy. Other information about this item:

  • This Michael Myers mask is a full over the head quality latex horror movie mask with hair
  • Made of “collector quality” latex
  • One size fits most adults

All right, now that you know where to get this Halloween mask, my job is done.

So, I’m going to go take an Ambien and hide under my covers until the bad pictures in my head go away.

So your kid wants to go over to the darkside? Maybe that last parent-teacher conference should have tipped you off... Anyway, click the picture above to see where you can get the costume.

So, your child wants to go over to the darkside and you’re looking for a kids Darth Vader costume.

Well, you came to the right place! And, thank goodness you didn’t have to travel to Dagobah, which is almost as bad as Wal-Mart on a Sunday afternoon. Times when you’d kill to own a real lightsaber…

Ahem… back to the Darth Vader costume for kids. This costume includes:

  • Printed Darth Vader jumpsuit
  • Black Darth Vader cape
  • Hard plastic Darth Vader mask
  • Vinyl belt

Top it all off with a lightsaber from Wally-World (thought you dodged that bullet, didn’t you?) and your children will be all set to rule the galaxy!

Or, maybe just to keep the bogeymen away from you while you’re out trick-or-treating this year. :)

Dr Evil Costume

The perfect Dr Evil costume

We agree, this Dr Evil costume rocks - click the image to find out more.

Yes, the voice is a lot of fun to do… so why not get a Dr Evil Costume so you have an excuse to do it for a whole night?

Think about it… while the movie was named for the title character, it was Dr. Evil who stole the show. His crazy monologues and one-liners were hilarious, and the running jokes between him and Seth Green’s character were priceless.

Now you too can be an evil genius, and plot to take over the world with a “la-zer”.

If you just want to get the accessories for the costume and not the whole Doctor Evil costume, you can get the accessory kit here:
